Today I Reached Hilton Diamond Status

Today I completed the $40,000 spending requirement on my Citi Hilton Reserve card to reach Diamond Status with Hilton Hotels.  This is one of the few cards that allows you to reach top tier status with a hotel chain strictly by meeting a spending requirement.  My family and I have an upcoming stay in NYC at the Waldorf Astoria next month.  I will let you know if we get upgraded to a suite or club room due to my newly attained status.  We will be using the two FREE weekend nights that came as the sign up bonus with the Citi Hilton Reserve card.  I will post a full review of the hotel with pictures after the trip.

The Citi Hilton Reserve card is one of the Visa signature cards.  We will be using that card on our upcoming trip to Napa California in the Spring.  We will be visiting several wineries that participate with Visa Signature.  The $10/pp tastings at those wineries will be FREE solely because of having that credit card.  Nice perk! We have planned private tours for two days while we are there.  We will be staying at the Hyatt Andaz in Napa for three nights.  Two of those nights will be FREE due to the sign up bonus for the Chase Hyatt Visa Card.

I will post a review of that trip as well when we return.

I like having top tier status with hotel chains through credit card spending much better than the traditional "Head in the Bed" method.
